A Downloadable RFx Process Checklist

I'm one for having documented policies and procedures, but sometimes format and the use of "proper" English overshadows functionality—making policies and procedures hard to use in day-to-day work activities.

To that end, I developed (and attached) an RFx Process Checklist that staff can use to make sure they're doing all the things they need to do during an RFx project.  The RFx Process Checklist includes embedded files at the end of the document that have examples of work product used during the RFx Process, such as a form e-mail to notify vendors they haven't been selected (and that tells the vendors in a nice way not to bug you about it until you've negotiated a contract with the finalist).

Feel free to use, enhance, or ignore: RFx Process Checklist

Here here I second your comments one hundred percent. I tend to get brought in after the decision has been made by business unit on which vendor has been selected. Thats a different issue I truly get offended just the same in that Not just the Locked pdf , but the fact that the assumption is that the vendor is reporting up the food change what there quarter will look like. And as such I am just a road block. One of the first discussions I have when having initial call with these vendor is under no circumstance will I even entertain using there paper. I use my template agreement with checklist.. On the flip side if I have to by some other act of god use their paper .. The length of time to close the deal will be dependent on my availability to essentially re write their contract.
