Stephen Guth Presenting at IT Procurement Summit (November 10 - 12 in Vegas)
Join me in Vegas for the IT Procurement Summit this November. What a great time to be in Vegas--it's only a 120 degrees there in November! But, hey, who goes outside when they go to Vegas!?
If you're in IT procurement or source IT commodities, and you haven't been to the annual IT Procurement Summit, you're definitely missing out on some great information and networking opportunities. Of the many great sessions planned, I'll be presenting the following sessions:
- Procurement Maturity Model
- Understanding the Business Side of Legalese
- How to Manage a Vendor - a Step by Step Process
- Software Ploys & Tactics
Remember, after using your own contract templates, the next most important thing in procurement is training. Believe me, your friendly vendor reps have gone through tons of training. Make the time for investing in yourself and get your employer to cough up a few coins so you can attend. More information can be found for the IT Procurement Summit here. See you in Vegas, baby!

Charlie,
If you do, let me know so we can get together while we're out there.

Our Vendor Management team is trying to decide if we should attend this conference or if we should wait for the "Do Better Deals" conference that is still TBD...
We are not our procurement department and really focus on our vendor relationships with our ITS platform owners.

Hi Kelley,
I don't work for ICN and I don't have an financial interest in promoting ICN, but I do have a personal interest in furthering our profession. With that said, I think the IT Procurement Summit, while it is very much geared to IT procurement folks, still has significant applicability to vendor / contract management folks (who are less involved on the procurement side and more involved on the vendor performance side). It's at least worth checking out one year to see if your group gets value from it.
P.S. Thx for taking the time to comment!
Stephen
